Day 1: Casablanca
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat
Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen
Day 4: Chefchaouen- Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Depart from Chefchaouen and head to Volubilis, the most impressive of the Roman sites in the country. Volubilis contains essentially Roman ruins of an ancient city built in the 3rd century B.C in a commanding site near the city of Meknes. Volubilis is a UNESCO world heritage site; listed to be preserved as part of the Roman Empire. The next destination is the imperial city of Meknes to get the most out of its monuments and the atmosphere of the Medina with its varied and busy Souks. Namely, El Hedim square (the focal point of the Medina) and the great Bad Mansour (the centerpiece of the city’s gateways) are amongst the extraordinary creations of Moulay Ismail, the city founder. Noticeably, Meknes is relaxed than its more illustrious neighbor (Fez). Arrive at your hotel in Fes by late afternoon.
Day 5: Guided Tour Of Fes
In this day you will visit the old Medina of Fes “Fes El Bali” and its environs, a beautiful place that splendidly shows fascination of antiquity. You will get to see Bou Inania Madrasa, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Ennajarine Fountain, Moulay Idriss’s tomb and Al-Qarawiyyine University, the oldest university in the world where many scientists had been to, such as Ibn Khaldoun (1332-1406), the founder of sociology. You will finish this guided tour by a delicious lunch in the medina before heading to visit the modern part of the city “Fes Al-Jdid”. You will return to your hotel by the evening.
Day 6: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert.
Setting out from Fes, you will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Ifrane. You will stop to visit this spectacular town ‘little Switzerland’ as people like to nickname it for its beauty, pseudo-alpine weather and villas. Afterwards, you will drive through the Cedar forest of Azrou and stop to see the Barbary macaques which dwell it. Along the way, you will enjoy the spectacle of Berber villages of The Middle Atlas Mountains. Furthermore, you will drive along the great date-palm valley of Ziz to admire one of the most wonderful natural views of southern Morocco. By the time you reach Erfoud which is considered Morocco’s town of fossils, you will stop over in some place for fossils. You will arrive in Merzouga early afternoon where your desert adventure commences. You will spend the first night in a hotel next to the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Day 7: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate
In the morning, you will need to wake as earlier as you can so as not to miss the stunning view of sunrise. When you finish breakfast in the camp, you will ride back the camels to the village and drive away of the desert quietness. On your way to Todra Gorges, you are going to stop in the market place of Rissani which is located in the oasis of Tafilalet. Upon your arrival to Todra Gorge, you will have free time to walk within its 300-meter canyon walls. Todra gorge is a nice place with water springing from a rocky mountain and run down a green valley. On the road, you will also pass by the beautiful Dades and Rose valleys. The latter is known throughout Morocco as the capital of roses for its wide cultivation of roses besides apples, fig, corn …etc. You will arrive in Ouarzazate by the evening.
Day 9: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas– Marrakech
Day 10: Guided Tour Of Marrakech
In the morning get ready to discover Marrakesh, Morocco’s touristic capital. The exploratory tour of the Medina (the oldest part in Marrakech city) starts off from the famous square of Djemaa el Fna. Throughout your slow and relaxed walk between the crucially important sights of the Medina, you tour guide will explain in detail the history of each monument in particular and the history of the city in general. The most visited ancient monuments are Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and the aforementioned square. Yet, continue your tour through the narrow paths of the Medina until you get to the Souks (Markets) and discover all various hand-crafted products therein. The attractive square of Djemaa El Fna is well-known for vitality at night when people crowd around comedians, storytellers, snake enchanters…etc. Once the walking tour is over, your driver will take you to both Menara and Majorelle gardens.
Day 11: Marrakech
This is a free day to enjoy at your leisure.
Day 12: Marrakech – Casablanca or Casablanca Airport
Transfer to Casablanca and the end of your trip in beautiful Morocco.
